Just for Newbies

Maybe you are a little embarrassed that you are so “out of it” when it comes to the internet.  Everyone has their internet phones and friends on Facebook and are tweeting away.  Meanwhile you are doing things the old fashioned way… face to face in real time with real people.  And that has worked well for you.  But, lately you are starting to think that doing business in today’s economy, where so much happens in the “virtual” world, pretty much requires a website.  Who doesn’t ask these days, “what’s your web address?”

So, let’s get that started.  I will help you with Everything: from registering for a domain name (as in “yourcompany.com”) to deciding what information about you and or your company should go on a website to how it should look to the people that visit to helping you keep that information fresh.

There are a lot of people out there to choose from and many of them are very very smart when it comes to technology.  But few are as smart when it comes to explaining what needs to be understood from a business point of view.  You don’t need to be swept off your feet with impressive sounding technical jargon.  You need to understand what it means to you, right now.  I’ve spent my entire career supporting and serving business people  and helping them to actually use the technology that is in font of them.

You don’t need to know all the math behind the theory of gravitation.  Just that if you jump off of a cliff it is gonna leave a mark!

I promise to–

  • Take the time to understand your business needs.
  • Take the time to explain what you need to know in terms that make sense to you.
  • And most of all treat you with the respect you deserve.
